1. How can you define drama based on your own understanding?
- Drama is a literary work that is created to entertain and convey moral values to audience using role play, settings and can be adrived from real life or fiction.
2. How can you explain about the history of drama by using your own scheme?
- Drama originated from the Athenian invention which was spread by Churces with choirs to convey Orthodox religion. Then in Greece 500 - 400 B.C drama developed by linking the ways of the goddess to promote cultural identity in classical Greece as a part of a festival called dionysia, this period called Greek drama. The medieval or the middle ages 1.200 - 1.500 A.D developed, the story of which began to reflect real life, usually taken from the Bible, and morality play to teach people a lesson in how to live their life according to the rules of the cruch. There was also an Elizabethan & Jacobean period which took place in 1500- 1642 were drama reflected the lives of more diverse societis such as art, politics, humanities, romanticism, which had a profound influence on literature. Continued in the periode of Restoration & 18th century. Drama 1600 - 1800 drama come with stronger political content and philosopical that defines the emphasis of reason and logic of the thinkers of that era, and helped developed more modern science. Enter the period 1800 - 1880 called the romantic era which has the main characteristic of the romantic literature that focuses on the emotions of the writer and narrator, the inner world, religion, and has ideals about women, children, and rural life. The last is the modern era in 1850 until now this drama is more developed and more diverse in its contents following the times, also need to be criticized.

A. What kind of play does "The Miracle Worker" belong to ?
- The Miracle Worker lifts the story in Romantic Era 1800 - 1880, because it expresses the emotional side of writer, the inner world, social romantic, social conventions, the idealization of women, children and national life in the country side, besides the story that Hellen is a deaf child who lears about braille letters and it was discovered in 1829 by Louise Braille.
B. Mention the characteristics of drama than you can find in "The Miracle Worker"
- The drama was launched in 1962, the characteristics of this movie is very clearly seen by bringing the life of a white nobleman, always wearing gloves, wearing neat clothes, covered, haid tied, or wearing a big heat, and showing the life in countryside. The servants were featured with people who were black, curly haired, and menial. The language used by nobles is polite and orderly language, besides that the rural situation strongly indicates that their situation is far from the bustling city conditions. In the movie also teaches culture about the norms of decency that must be done by the nobles.
